Cubs is the second section of the Scouting movement and is for 8 to 10.5 year old boys and girls. Started in 1916 cubs always keeps up with the needs of young people whilst also being faithful to being outside and having fun..

 

During their time in the Pack, Cub Scouts will get a chance to try lots of different activities like climbing, fencing, camping, fire lighting, exploring, first aid and nature conservation. Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out,. Most terms we go camping either at the hut or at another scout camp.

 

There are a wide range of badges available which Cub Scouts can wear on their uniforms to show everyone how well they're doing. Theer are 7 Challenge Badges leading to the Chief Scouts Silver Award - the highest award a Cub can get. We also have 38 Activty Badges. A Pack of Cub Scouts has around 24 boys and girls and is organised into Sixes, with each Six named after a colour, and a Sixer and a Seconder in charge. Sixers and Seconders get to go on a special camp to show them how to be good leaders of their six.
